Our care starts with initial exams, recommendations for care, and planning for birth. Beyond the initial care, we provide consistent health exams, birth planning, and labor and delivery services to ensure you receive the right care.

Pregnancy Services We Offer

A healthy pregnancy starts with pre-conception planning and continues beyond delivery of your baby. Our team offers the following services for expecting parents.

Prenatal Care

During your pregnancy, your body needs plenty of nutrients, rest, and medical attention to ensure your baby is reaching their developmental milestones before delivery. Prenatal care may include a diet and lifestyle plan, ongoing screening for health concerns like gestational diabetes, and regular checkups to ensure that your child is safe and healthy throughout your pregnancy.

Labor and Delivery

If you have risk factors that can impact your labor and delivery process, you may need specialized care to help protect you and your child during this time. That is why we only use the most advanced technology and modern techniques to protect you and your unborn child’s health. We can also work closely with your midwife so that you have the emotional support you need during childbirth, no matter what your birthing plan includes.

Postpartum Care

Your pregnancy needs do not end immediately after childbirth. As your body adjusts postpartum, you may require additional medical support you can trust in. Our women’s health providers offer screenings and treatment should you experience urinary incontinence, postpartum bleeding, difficulty with breastfeeding, or develop postpartum depression.

High-Risk Pregnancies: Make Sure You Have the Appropriate Treatment

Certain existing or chronic health conditions can lead to a high-risk pregnancy, meaning you or your baby are at a higher risk of developing health issues for the duration of your pregnancy. Our healthcare centers screen for the most common factors that lead to high-risk pregnancy so we can identify them sooner and get you the treatment you need from the start.

If you’re experiencing a high-risk pregnancy, many of the providers at Mid-Atlantic Women’s Care are trained to care for you.
