About Vienne Murray, MD
Dr. Murray attended the College of William and Mary where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She received her medical degree from the University of Virginia. She then completed her residency training at the Medical College of Virginia where she served as chief resident.
Dr. Murray is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is board certified by the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is a member of the American Medical Association, the Richmond Academy of Medicine and the Medical Society of Virginia. She has served Henrico Doctor’s Hospital by acting as the vice chairman, then chairman of her department for the past three years. In 2013, Dr. Murray served as chief of staff. She has volunteered at the Fan Free Clinic and with many animal rescue organizations. Dr. Murray has been voted one of Richmond’s “Top Docs” by Richmond magazine for several years.
Dr. Murray participates in many womens health and safety committees and is currently (2014) Chairman of Women’s Health Services at HDH.
Dr. Murray loves the multiple facets of her profession. She thrives on the challenges of both low and high-risk obstetrics and is eager to care for women from the teen to postmenopausal years. Whatever the patient concern, Dr. Murray strives to create unique doctor/patient relationship which has made her practice so rewarding over the years.
When not at work, Dr. Murray cherishes time with her husband, two children, two dogs and horse. With whatever free time is left she loves to horseback ride, run and read.
