Shirley Kent, PT, DPT

Shirley Kent, PT, DPT has been offering Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy in the Hampton Roads area for over 10 years. She is excited to offer comprehensive care to the patients at Virginia Beach Obstetrics and Gynecology. Shirley has always had a passion for educating women about their bodies and encouraging proactive care in all phases of life. She will offer care to pre- and post-partum patients, pelvic organ prolapse, bladder concerns, bowel concerns, pelvic pain, and sexual dysfunction. She offers dry needling and cupping therapy.

Shirley attended Truman State University for her undergraduate degree in Biology and Hampton University for her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2013. She continues a lifelong love of learning, earning several specialist certifications, including the Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist.

In her spare time, Dr. Kent enjoys spending time with her husband and dogs, hiking, and is an amateur ballroom dancer.
