About Rachel McAdams, WHNP, MSN
Rachel McAdams, WHNP, MSN is a licensed Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. She spent her childhood as an “Army brat” traveling around Europe and the US. She is a graduate of Poquoson High School and obtained both her Bachelor and Master degrees in Nursing from Old Dominion University, in Norfolk, VA. She has spent the past 9 years working at Langley Air Force Base in their Women’s Health Clinic. Rachel is now thrilled about “coming home” to Obstetrics and Gynecology Associates of Hampton.
She completed her last semester of her clinical practicum with Karen Brophy in 2007 and providers in the group delivered two of her three children. Her professional interests include caring for women across the lifespan through well women exams, contraceptive management, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), as well as routine obstetrical care.
Rachel lives in Poquoson with her husband Dan, and their three children. When she is not in the office, she can be found at a ball court, gym, or ball field cheering on her children in their sporting events. She also enjoys reading, traveling and is a self-described foodie- enjoying cooking, baking and, of course, eating!
