About Kathleen D. Brown, MSN, WHNP-BC
Kathleen is originally from Washington State and moved here while she was in high school. Growing up she was active in dance, competitive gymnastics, and competitive cheerleading. She also played softball and volleyball. After graduating from Kempsville High School she attended Virginia Tech where she majored in Human Nutrition, Food and Exercise. After graduation she worked for several years before deciding to follow her calling into nursing. After completing nursing school, she worked as a labor and delivery nurse for 5 years before obtaining her MSN as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. She had the privilege of training and working with Dr. E. Franklin Roberts and Dr. Michael Spriuell at Commonwealth Women’s Healthcare until their retirement. Women’s Heath has always been her passion and she loves working with her patients to help them make informed decisions about their body and reproductive health. When she’s not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family, training for half marathons, reading a good book and going to the beach.
