About Edith Henderson, MD

Edith “Edie” Henderson, M.D., FACOG, is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist who is excited to join Virginia Beach Obstetrics and Gynecology in January 2026. She earned her medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. She completed her OB/GYN residency at West Virginia University, where she was recognized for excellence in patient care and surgical training and served as an Assistant Professor.

Dr. Henderson brings experience from both academic medicine and hospital-based practice, and most recently cared for patients as a laborist at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. She is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is committed to providing thoughtful, evidence-based care tailored to each patient’s individual needs. Her clinical interests include obstetrics and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.

Dr. Henderson and her husband—who is also a local physician—are thrilled to be putting down roots in the Virginia Beach community. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and staying busy with their young children, who keep life busy and full.
