About Angela Hale, CNM, PMH-C
Angela has a passion for the midwifery model of care and after receiving excellent midwifery care during her own pregnancies decided to pursue midwifery as her life’s work. After graduating with her BSN from Union University she worked at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital first as a trauma med/surg nurse before transferring to the high-risk labor and delivery unit where she participated in caring for high acuity conditions in both mothers and newborns. She received her master’s in nurse-midwifery from Bethel University. She has a special interest in working with disadvantaged populations and high-risk pregnancies. She is originally from Tennessee but moved to Virginia fulfill a service requirement with the Nurse Corp by working in a medically underserved area after graduating with her undergraduate. She enjoys spending time with her husband and their three children by hiking, going on local adventures, and traveling.
