About Heather Cugini, MD, FACOG

Dr. Heather Cugini joins the obstetrics and gynecology team at Virginia Beach OB/GYN on September 1, 2023. Dr. Cugini is originally from St. Louis, Missouri. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from McKendree College in Lebanon, Illinois, and then attended medical school at St. George University in Grenada, British West Indies. She then did her ob/gyn residency training at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, and then was in private practice in Cape Girardeau, Missouri from 2010 until her recent move to Virginia Beach. She was board-certified by the American Board of OB/GYN in 2013. She is a daVinci certified robotic surgeon. She has a certificate degree in sexual health and enjoys exploring the nuances of reproductive hormones, sexuality, and gender. In her free time, she loves spending time with her husband, their two kids, and their two dogs.

We are thrilled to have Dr. Cugini bring her Ob/Gyn and surgical expertise to the practice, where she hopes to provide outstanding care for Hampton Roads women for many years.
